College Row at Franklin and Marshall College is a mixed-use development in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The 218,582 SF complex unites the campus to downtown Lancaster. It consists of 117 housing units in two separate four-story dormitory buildings. The upper residential floors possess a load bearing masonry shear wall and precast concrete plank floor system. In an effort to provide a more flexible and open floor plan for the ground-floor retail space, all load bearing walls terminate at a level two platform constructed from a structural steel composite concrete slab supported by heavy steel girders, columns and braced frames. A one-story, 20,000 SF retail building and ground-floor retail complete 50,000 SF of offered commercial space.
