Elie A. Zghayar, Ph.D., P.E.

Associate Director Orlando Office

Dr. Zghayar is the Director of McNamara Salvia’s Orlando office. Elie’s experience includes healthcare, hospitality, residential, office, data centers, and industrial. He specializes in wind engineering, analytical modeling of high-rise and complex-formed structures, the behavior of concrete under extreme loads, steel and composite systems, and the use of carbon and glass fiber-reinforced polymers in retrofitting of existing structures. His research interests include experimental and numerical investigations of pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete. Elie is an integral part of projects from inception and early concept phases through the end of construction, creating innovative solutions for architects, owners, operators, and construction teams.

The Nexus Offices is a 12-story, 194,000 SF Class A office building, part of the larger mixed-use Creative Village development in Orlando, Florida. In addition to the office space there are 5,000 SF of ground-level retail followed by five stories of parking.
The Apex Residences at Creative Village is a 24-story apartment tower with an adjacent seven-story parking garage with a pool amenities deck / clubhouse on top. The project will comprise 300 residential units and structured parking for 288 cars.
The Conrad Orlando is an eight-story luxury resort part of the Evermore Orlando Resort (redevelopment of the former Villas at Grand Cypress), a 1,100-acre complex featuring a 20-acre tropical beach complex. Located adjacent to Walt Disney World, the Conrad Orlando features 433 keys with world-class amenities, including a man-made eight-acre Crystal Lagoon at the heart of the resort, 150,000 SF of indoor/outdoor event space, rooftop dining, and bars.
At 120 feet, HostDime’s Orlando corporate headquarters and data center is the tallest building between downtown Orlando and Altamonte Springs. The seven-story, category 5 hurricane-rated facility consists of three-stories of data center space followed by four-stories of office space. A large portion of the structure cantilevers over the roundabout entrance leading to a three-story atrium. The lobby features a 36-foot tall, 10-foot wide mosaic video display. The top level contains a large conference room and training center with a hybrid indoor/outdoor floor plan with 3,500 SF of outside terrace space. The 95,000 SF complex was engineered to meet and surpass the needs of the modern-day cloud infrastructure used by enterprises.
