South Station Tower is a 51-story mixed-use building built above South Station, New England’s largest intermodal station. The 1,000,000 SF addition to the densely traveled transportation hub includes 711,500 SF of office space, accompanied by 166 condo units on the top 16 stories under The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Boston, South Station Tower brand. There is a six-story parking garage with 895 spaces, a ninth-story Terrace Restaurant, a one-acre Sky Park on the 11th story, and a 36th-story amenities club.

The reimagined concourse at the base of the tower, called the Great Space, features 10-foot x 10-foot columns with seven-foot thick arches spanning 60 feet between each of the columns. The Great Space supports the structure above and improves connectivity between the bus, rail, and subway, in addition to the expansion of South Station Bus Terminal, which increased capacity by 50%. The 690-foot-tall tower is topped with an illuminated crown structure—a prominent feature on the Boston skyline.
