Mr. Ramos has over 20 years of experience in analysis, design and construction of multi-story commercial and residential building structures in steel and concrete in the USA and overseas. He also has experience in lateral analysis, and dynamic analysis, high seismic zone design and steel and wood detailing. Since the opening of McNamara Salvia’s New York City office, Carlos has helped to manage the concrete design team on numerous primarily residential towers as represented below.

130 William Street is a slender 66-story, 800-foot luxury condominium tower in Manhattan’s Financial District of New York. It features 242 units ranging from studios to four-bedrooms. The precast concrete façade’s textured dark tone panels lead to bright and airy interiors. The rows of arched windows reference the historic warehouses of New York City with an eye toward innovation. Additional amenities in this skyscraper include a full-scale health and wellness club, IMAX theater, spa, private rooftop observatory deck and a new public park at the base. McSal’s solutions created an affordable concrete structure over earlier design iterations while improving architectural layouts, occupant comfort, and structural performance.
Torre Coyoacan is a 1,900,000 SF mixed-use tower in México City, México. The base contains 430,556 SF of office space with a unique system of post-tensioned one-way concrete joists supported by post-tensioned girders to provide up to 41-foot column spans. The top 12 stories of the tower contain a 280-key Hilton hotel. The building features a multi-level sky deck with outdoor pool and hotel amenities as well as column-free event space at the first and second floor. There are nine-stories and 1,184,030 SF of below-grade parking.
The Beach offers stunning views of the Manhattan skyline for its 336 residences within the Newport district of Jersey City, New Jersey. The structure consists of a 12-story and 25-story tower with a five-story middle connector building that features rooftop amenity space. Located on the edge of the Hudson River, the high-rise tower consists of three unique patterns that alternate on each floor to emulate the currents of the river below. The buildings also feature ground-floor retail space and numerous amenities along the river walk.
The Ellipse is a 533,000 SF luxury residential tower built over a pier at the edge of the Hudson River. The 444-foot elliptical shaped building has 42 stories and a total of 381 units. Its efficient flat plate concrete construction allows for floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Manhattan Skyline. Units vary from studios to three-bedroom apartments and penthouse suites. The Ellipse offers over 24,000 SF of premier amenities including a 75-foot outdoor pool and terrace built over the 230-space, precast concrete parking garage. The Ellipse is one of the tallest buildings in the Jersey City waterfront area.
