Polar Park is a 10,000-seat minor league baseball stadium in Worcester, Massachusetts. Home to the Boston Red Sox’s Triple-A affiliate team, the ballpark is the centerpiece of a larger redevelopment project in the city. The sloped site led to the construction of the stadium into a hill with a 40- to 50-foot grade change from one side to the other. Seating was carved into the topography; spectators enter the stadium at street level from the home-plate side and walk down into the center and right field seats. The design features flexible seating and social areas. Polar Park is surrounded by mixed-use buildings and a hotel overlooking the ballpark from left field with rooftop deck.
