Ahmed Mantawy, PhD P.E. S.E.

Associate Miami Office

With over 15 years of experience, Ahmed has been involved in a wide variety of projects from new construction to renovation including seismic retrofit and adaptive reuse of existing buildings. Ahmed presented his research work on seismic evaluation of existing concrete buildings in many conferences including the 2014 EERI National Conference on Earthquake Engineering. In 2018, one of Ahmed’s projects, Seaside Way Pedestrian Bridge in Long Beach, CA, received ENR’s ‘Best of the Best’ award in the Landscape/Urban Development Category. Mr. Mantawy is responsible for structural concepts, structural design, coordination, and construction administration. He has completed numerous projects in California, and several international projects, and is currently managing projects out of our Miami office.

The Ursa is Miami’s Design District’s first new Class A+ office building, located at the corner of North Miami Avenue and NE 30th Street. The 15-story structure includes 180,000 SF of office space and a rooftop garden deck, retail on the ground level, followed by three stories of parking. The exterior features staggering green terraces around the perimeter.
Nautilus 220 is a 1,150,017 SF waterfront mixed-use development in Lake Park, Florida, that consists of two, 24-story twin towers. A total of 330 luxury condominiums complete the residential program. The towers sit atop a shared four-story podium that consists of five stories of parking with 875 spaces, 22,608 SF of retail space and 13,000 SF of flexible office space. A resort pool, lap pool and deck are located on top of the podium, accessible by the fifth floor of both residences.
