An addition to the Library at Newton Country Day School was added to the existing architecturally-significant school building. The 22,000 SF expansion provided study rooms, seminars, offices, classrooms and open atrium space. The addition links the new structure to the existing building by a skylit double-height stair hall. This project balanced historic restoration elements with system upgrades.
