The Green Monster seats at iconic Fenway Park consist of a series of cantilevers. The design helped the Red Sox capitalize on converting an unused five-foot-wide sidewalk between the ballpark right field wall and roadway. The first cantilever consists of the caisson foundation supporting a vertical cantilever truss and the latter supports a raker cantilever over the roadway. The result created revenue out of thin air and the most sought-after party seating in the stadium.
