Ms. Gerhart brings a decade of diverse experience to McNamara Salvia and is leading the establishment of our Montana branch. As a 5th-generation Montanan, Rachel’s professional identity is shaped by strong ties and shared values within the community. She has played a pivotal role in navigating and contributing to a variety of projects from the intricacies of high-rise towers to interior renovations, Rachel’s journey has been defined by dedication to precision, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to aligning each project with the owner’s vision. She is actively involved in community outreach and her roots serve as a guiding force, ensuring that engineering solutions are not only technically sound but also resonate with the unique needs and values of the local community.

During construction of 121 Seaport Boulevard, the remains of a 1896 shipwreck were found in the land, leading to the creation of Harbor Way. The 20,000 SF interactive open-air museum is at the base between our 101 Seaport Boulevard and 121 Seaport Boulevard office towers. The 70-foot wide pedestrian promenade celebrates the Seaport’s history with a statue replicating the ship at the site in which it was found.
10 + 20 CityPoint is a two-building, Class A office development totaling approximately 445,000 SF. The first building, 10 CityPoint, was completed in Summer 2016 and features approximately 241,460 SF of office space. The second building, 20 CityPoint, is also a six-story complex that contains approximately 200,000 SF of office space and retail on the first floor. Two long span pedestrian bridges provide interconnectivity between the office buildings and also provide access to the new eight-level precast concrete parking garage. Tenants include Wolverine Worldwide Headquarters, the new headquarters for Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, INFINIDAT, and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.
River House at South Street Landing is an apartment development that revamped the unused land created by the relocation of the I-195 highway. The apartment complex sits on the Providence River and provides luxury residences for university students and young professionals in the area. The seven-story building features two wings, and is comprised of 153,000 SF and 174 units/270 beds in a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floorplans. The complex features rooftop terraces and the streetscape is lined with 5,000 SF of retail.
The Benjamin and VIA are two residential buildings part of Boston’s Seaport Square development. The Benjamin, at 22 stories, and VIA, at 20 stories, encompass a total of 832 apartments. The properties are divided by Courthouse Square, a 17,000 SF pedestrian link that consists of open space and 250,000 SF of retail across the first three stories of both buildings. The Benjamin and VIA share a three-story below-grade parking garage that offers 780 spaces. With close proximity to the Boston Harbor, McNamara • Salvia overcame geotechnical challenges to construct the 1,552-foot-long, 86,500 SF reinforced concrete slurry wall foundation around the perimeter.
