Vertex Pharmaceuticals at Fan Pier – Boston, MA – Vibration consulting work for a vivarium floor, typical wet lab space and multiple sensitive equipment (NMR and MRIs) located at various levels of the two towers (1,100,000 SF). We performed finite element-based vibration analysis of the floors and recommended structural framing modifications to the design team to meet the vibration criteria.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital Brigham Building for the Future – Boston, MA – Our vibration consulting work for Brigham Building for the Future project included the vibration analysis and framing recommendations for a vivarium floor, a monumental stair and typical wet lab spaces.
Boston Children’s Hospital – Pedestrian Bridge – Boston, MA – We performed finite element-based vibration analysis of the pedestrian bridge and recommended cost-effective structural modifications to accomplish vibration performance objectives.
121 Seaport Boulevard – Boston, MA – We performed vibration transmission analysis from a cycling studio to office tenants upstairs and recommended structural mitigations. We took vibration measurements before and after the implementation and verified the success of the improvements.
Bulfinch Crossing – Boston, MA – We performed finite element-based floor vibration analysis to design cost-effective floor framing that met standard office vibration criteria. We also performed vibration transmission analysis from cars moving at the garage levels to the residential units sharing the same floor plate and designed structural framing to control transmitted vibration to acceptable levels.
