Brooklyn Point is a 68-story, 720-foot tower in downtown Brooklyn containing 458 units of luxury residences and 40,000 SF of indoor and outdoor amenities. The building’s bottom three levels consist of space for food, shopping and entertainment as part of the third phase of the City Point development. Two Slosh Tank water dampers are employed below the building’s rooftop pool to mitigate lateral sway in the building. The dampers improve occupant comfort and also allow for less structure, which reduces construction costs.
