88 Seaport Boulevard is an 18-story, 580,000 SF mixed-use life science and research building with three stories of below-grade parking. The building consists of two distinct upper and lower masses separated by a multi-story stepped “crease” of varying height. The primary structural system is structural steel including a braced frame core. To achieve this dramatic aesthetic, the Penthouse Level consists of a series of structural steel trusses which cantilever from the concrete core to all the upper mass to be hung from above.
