Built in 1909 at the western edge of Boston’s Back Bay, 375 Newbury Street is a 40,000 SF masonry building that has been home to various ground-floor restaurants and retail stores. The renovation of the property included a complete replacement of the façade which now features a decorative storefront detail. The four-story structure underwent extensive rehabilitation to structurally stabilize the building, to repair the exterior masonry walls and to include a four-story addition with a contemporary glass curtain-wall visible from Massachusetts Avenue. The design of the interior incorporates a large visible circulation stair and two exterior patio spaces facing Newbury Street.
